Delicate butterfly Keum-boo (koom-boo) drop earrings honoring transformation's most intimate whisper, the suspended moment before emergence when everything is possible but nothing is yet visible.

At 1.25 inches, the Cocoon earrings feature two inverted monarch wings that overlap to create subtle, sculptural curves, resting close and moving gently with you. Pure 24K gold flows along the edges like captured light against deep black silver, creating luminous mixed metal contrast that shifts as you move. The dimensional forms cast soft shadows, a private reminder that your most profound changes are happening in stillness, in that tender chrysalis space between who you were and who you're becoming.

Choose handmade 14K gold ear wires or 14K gold-filled. Fine jewelry built to last generations. Comfortable and light enough to forget you're wearing them.

For those who know that stillness is not the absence of becoming.

Artist's Statement

The Imaginal Cell Butterfly Collection

When a caterpillar experiences metamorphosis, it must first come to terms with its mortality. Amorphous cells, known as Imaginal Cells, multiply within the chrysalis, impervious to the caterpillar’s immune system. When the Imaginal Cells finally reach critical mass, the defeated caterpillar accepts its mortal fate, and metamorphosis begins. At this point, the newly awakened cells band together, transform, and become the mysterious creature that we know as “butterfly.”

The Imaginal Cell Collection honors the transformative, creative process of not knowing. Sometimes we must let go of the traditional constructs we “understand” to discover something new and beautiful within ourselves. This body of work deconstructs the geometric forms of the iconic monarch wing, transforming them into unexpected patterns and celebrating nature’s symmetry.

We are the sum of our own imaginations. Letting go is the seed to metamorphosis.
