These playful Flutter earrings capture butterflies in their most alive moment, that flitting, dancing flight from flower to flower, light on the wing and full of joy. Two delicate wings overlap at 1.75 inches and tipped with rich 24k gold. The contrasting Keum-boo (loom-boo) effect is like liquid light that sways with every turn of your head, evoking the giddy weightlessness of butterflies in their dance. Some see hearts in the curves, others see wings mid-flight - either way, they carry that irresistible energy of being fully, playfully alive. Small enough to wear every single day, light enough to forget you're wearing them, the gentle silhouette works beautifully solo or layered, bringing levity without losing meaning. Choose 14K gold-filled or solid 14K gold accents with oxidized sterling silver ear wires.

For the pure joy of being fully, playfully alive.

Artist's Statement

The Imaginal Cell Butterfly Collection

When a caterpillar experiences metamorphosis, it must first come to terms with its mortality. Amorphous cells, known as Imaginal Cells, multiply within the chrysalis, impervious to the caterpillar’s immune system. When the Imaginal Cells finally reach critical mass, the defeated caterpillar accepts its mortal fate, and metamorphosis begins. At this point, the newly awakened cells band together, transform, and become the mysterious creature that we know as “butterfly.”

The Imaginal Cell Collection honors the transformative, creative process of not knowing. Sometimes we must let go of the traditional constructs we “understand” to discover something new and beautiful within ourselves. This body of work deconstructs the geometric forms of the iconic monarch wing, transforming them into unexpected patterns and celebrating nature’s symmetry.

We are the sum of our own imaginations. Letting go is the seed to metamorphosis.
